The Delaware County Paralegal Association was formed in September of 2011 with membership which averages between 30 and 40 members. Our mission is to develop, strengthen and advance the success of paralegals in the workplace, as well as to encourage and unify the community of paralegals for the purpose of social networking, and professional and educational development. Our goal is to join the Delaware County paralegal community together and provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge, information, viewpoints, ideas, educational opportunities, and job openings. General membership meetings are held quarterly and the Board of Directors meetings are held monthly. DCPA’s newsletter, The Paralegal Express, is circulated to members quarterly, and it is full of informative articles and news of interest to all paralegals. DCPA has the following active committees: Public Relations Committee, Social and Special Events Committee, Membership Committee, Document Management Committee, Education/Professional Development Committe, Pa.C.P. Coordinator Committee, and Newsletter Committee. An ambitious and active organization, DCPA coordinates many professional, social and networking opportunities, including coordinating and hosting continuing legal education seminars and participating in outreach programs at local paralegal schools, high schools and universities. DCPA is a determined, energetic association, and our members are eager for opportunities to meet and network with others in our field.
