What’s the Deal with Delaware?

There is no state whose laws impact corporate America than Delaware.  With this in mind join, CT for a one-hour CLE exploring the current environment in Delaware.  This discussion will take a look at topics that are somewhat unique to Delaware.   This CLE explores such subjects as: Series LCCs, Reverse Veil Piercing, and recent modifications to the Caremark Standards.  We will take a look at upcoming legislation that may be impactful for corporate law.

Daniel W. Lias

Daniel W. Lias is the Transactional Business Consultant in the Chicago office of CT covering the Midwest.   He works primarily with area law firms in terms of their due diligence searches and filings.  He shares market knowledge with the firms and assists in developing a strategy that meets the firm’s specific needs. He graduated from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Economics and later received his JD.  He has several years of experience working with UCC related issues in both his private practice and when he was corporate counsel for an invoice factoring firm.  While at CT he has written papers relating to the GM termination case. He also has conducted numerous seminars on due diligence issues to law firms, financial institutions, and corporations. He is a member of the South Dakota State Bar Association, The Chicago Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
